A month away from the workbench… but not from the adventure

Sometimes it's necessary to take a break—from the workbench, from deadlines, from constantly pushing through. Last month, I allowed myself such a break. We traveled to the enchanting Opal Coast . Where chalk cliffs meet the sea, and where even in the tranquility of vacation, gems are never far away… only this time, they were hidden in the form of fossils. Searching for them was almost as addictive as working with gold and silver.

But sitting still? That's not really my style. Between the sea air and shell hunting, I registered for the Loewe Foundation Craft Prize – an international competition that recognizes the most innovative crafts worldwide. A challenge that pushes me out of my comfort zone, but also inspires me immensely.

The rest of the month was all about recharging: long walks, good conversations, and taking a meditation course that I plan to continue throughout the year. Because finding peace is as precious a skill as forging a jewel.

And now… back to the workbench, with fresh energy and new ideas.
